HIGHLIGHTS AHEAD.
As far as the global economic docket is concerned, in Europe, the flashestimate of Euro area inflation for September will be released togetherwith area-wide unemployment for August. We will also be receivingAugust consumer spending reports in Germany and France and anupdate on labour market trends in Germany and Italy.
In the US, the main focus will be the ADP employment report, wheremarkets will be looking for a 190k rise. September’s Chicago PMI shouldfall to 53.0 from 54.4, but will allow analysts to fine-tune estimates aheadof Thursday’s manufacturing ISM. MBA mortgage applications for theweek ending 25 September as well as September’s ISM Milwaukeeindex will also be rolled out.
The Fedspeak continues with Fed Chair Yellen and Fed President Bullardspeaking on community banking at St Louis. Fed Governor Brainard willalso be speaking at the similar conference. Before that, Fed PresidentDudley will give a keynote speech on market liquidity in New York.
Data releases on tap in Asia today include Thailand’s manufacturingproduction index for Aug at 12pm, which is expected to decline-7.1%y/y from -5.3% in July, which is inline with the dismal externaltrade report on Mon. Later at 330pm, Thailand will report its Augexternal trade report and balance of payments account data.
