Hong Kong Stock Market Summary .

    Hong Kong stocks declined last Thursday. The HSI once dropped below 28,000, and closed at 28,133, down 267 pts. The main board turnover was HK$170.9bn.

    Mainland telecoms shares fell, on media reports that CHINA UNICOM (762) will lower international roaming fees, dragging down its share price by 5.8% to HK$14.56, the steepest loss of the HSI. CHINA MOBLIE (941) and CHINA TELECOM (728) fell 2.6% and 3.2%. Mainland banks performed weakly. BOC (3988) sank 3.6% to HK$5.33, after announcing Q1 net profit rose 1%. ICBC (1398) and CCB (939) fell 1.9% and 1.8%. Mainland property developers advanced. CHINA RES LAND (1109) jumped 7.4% to HK$28.25, and became the top gainer of the HSI. CHINA OVERSEAS LAND (688) and EVERGRANDE (3333) rose 4.7% and 18.9%.
