Daily Market Summary
The HSI swung between gains and losses yesterday, once hitting 23,238, and closed at 23,140, up 92 pts. The main board turnover was HK$62.22bn.
Due to the cooking oil scandals, TINGYI (322) share price fell for the fifth trading day, down 2.8% to HK$18.42, the steepest loss among the blue chips. NEW WORLD DEVELOPMENT (17) rose 2.9% to HK$9.53, and became the second top gainer of the HSI, after winning MTR Tai Wai Station project. Local property shares advanced. SHK PPT (16) and HENERSON LAND (16) climbed 1.4% and 1.9% respectively. Mainland brokerages performed well. CC SECURITIES (1375) surged 21.7% to HK$3.53. C FORTUNE FIN (290) soared 14.4%. China airlines gained. CHINA EAST AIR (670) jumped 6.2%. CHINA SOUTH AIR (1055) and AIR CHINA (753) rose 5.5% and 2.7%.
